VDC is committed to protecting your privacy. The information we collect on our Web site is strictly used to deliver services (but not necessarily yours) and to enhance your experience.
Therefore, VDC will not sell, rent or in any way provide your personal information or usage of this Web site information to anyone. All of your personal information will be kept strictly confidential. The information obtained by VDC will only be used to develop insights into the current, and expected future, usage of, and market for, relevant products or technologies.
VDC may aggregate statistics of the type of applications used to browse our Web site and the regional source of that browsing for inter-company usage only. Such data is collected and examined through our Web server's log files without identifying the user.
Secure Transactions
This Web site uses VeriSign to secure all transactions. VeriSign employs the 128-bit SSL encryption protocol (the strongest SSL encryption) for all transaction pages.
Cookies
When filling out any form (i.e. for purchase, creating an account, customizing your account, etc.) a cookie(s) may be placed on your machine. The main purpose of cookies is to identify users and/or prepare customized Web pages for them. When you enter a Web site using cookies, you may be asked to fill out a form to provide some kind of identification (i.e. your name, etc.) This information is packaged into a cookie and sent to your Web browser, which stores it for later use. The next time you go to the same Web site, your browser will send the cookie to the Web server and the server can use this information to present you with custom Web pages. So, for example, instead of seeing just a generic welcome page you might see a welcome page with your name on it. If you do not wish to allow VDC to place cookies on your machine, you must open a web browser, go to “Tools,” then “Internet Options,” click on the “Privacy” tab and move the slider bar to “Block All Cookies” then click apply. Now your computer will not accept any cookies. (Note: VDC recommends speaking with an IT person at your company before changing any settings.)
E-mail Privacy
VDC requires that users provide an e-mail address as their login identity when registering for an account on our Web site. This ensures a unique identity and provides VDC with a method to contact customers about service interruptions and other service related issues. Setting up an account with VDC does not mean that you have opted to receive any e-mail communications, unless you have checked the appropriate box indicating that you would like to receive specified e-mail correspondence.
Separate from the registration link, there is a “Subscribe to receive Free VDC Updates” link. This link is for our opt-in services. This section of the Web site enables you to decide what information you would like to receive. Once you are on the VDC subscriber list, you may ask to be removed at any time. You may simply click on the link that appears at the bottom of the VDC e-mail you receive. Once you request to be removed, please allow up to 10 business days to be taken off the VDC subscriber list. If you would like to re-subscribe, you can always add your e-mail address to our list again by signing up to be contacted on the Web site, or by contacting VDC Technical Support at support@vdc-corp.com.
Please check this page from time to time, as VDC may update this privacy policy without prior notice. Any updates or changes will be prominently displayed. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at any time.
